The relationship with HDTC and CLM is official. HDTC is the sole distributor of CLM equipment in Australia and New Zealand, we really “raised the roof” on this installation.
The very first HDTC CBW (More affectionally known here as the Dragon) has been delivered and installed at SPL Brisbane, accompanied by 8 steam dryers.
We have also added a new compound controller to a 15 pocket Kannegiesser CBW, and customised an existing bag rail system, this was all done in house.
All the while we made sure that factory production was not affected by the site upgrades. This meant shifting all equipment over weekends and having it ready for production by the Monday, obviously there were a few very late nights and very early mornings to ensure the factory was running as usual.

Although it was this projects centerpiece, the installation of the new CBW and dryer system cannot overshadow the mountain of work that went into relocating every piece of machinery in the laundry and disassembly of a mezzanine floor without impacting production. It was a task many people placed in the too hard basket. HDTC saw it as a challenge and an opportunity to make a statement on our capabilities as a small yet determined company.

We would like to make special mention to our amazing contractors Pavlek Electrical, Elite Structure and Flow and Corey Villagrand Plumbing.
To the SPL Brisbane Team, Roshan, Lisa, Glenda and Stuart and your amazing staff – Thank you.
We bid farewell to SPL Brisbane for a short while, we will return after the conference to perform a little bit of magic, 3 Ironers to be moved, 2 fully functioning in 2 days and the third to receive a birthday and a couple of additional days off.
The LAA Conference is being held in Brisbane on the 1st -3rd of May and as a supporter of the LAA and sponsor of this event would like to advise you a factory tour of SPL is being held on the 1st of May where you will be able to see the equipment and meet the team.
